Attorney Javier Sobampo Profile

I am an Arizona attorney with more than 15 years of legal experience, guided by both professional dedication and personal history. As the child of immigrants, I grew up witnessing firsthand the fear, uncertainty, and emotional toll that immigration challenges can place on families. Those early experiences shaped my commitment to advocacy, fairness, and service—values that continue to guide my legal practice today.

In addition to my work as an attorney, I have served in judicial roles as Judge Pro Tempore in both Maricopa County and Gila County Justice Courts. In these roles, I presided over a broad range of matters, including evictions, protective orders, civil litigation, and criminal proceedings, as well as jury trials, arraignments, and sentencing hearings. This judicial experience gives me a unique perspective on how cases are evaluated from the bench and informs my strategic, detail-oriented approach to representation.

I have built a diverse legal career that spans private practice, judicial service, education, and business leadership. As Managing Attorney of Sobampo Law Firm, PLLC, I oversee firm operations, mentor attorneys, and manage complex cases across multiple practice areas, including immigration law, family law, civil litigation, and criminal defense.

Before entering the legal profession, I founded and managed multimillion-dollar enterprises in real estate, insurance, finance, and construction. This background allows me to approach legal matters with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset and a strong understanding of risk, strategy, and long-term planning.

I am also an experienced educator and have served as an adjunct professor of law and business at multiple institutions. Education and mentorship remain central to my professional identity.

Deeply committed to public service, I am widely recognized for advocacy and volunteer work on behalf of underserved and Latino communities throughout Arizona. Whether in the courtroom, the classroom, or the community, my goal is to serve with integrity, clarity, and purpose.
